I’m a high school student passionate about neuroscience and molecular biology, particularly how tools like biosensors can help us better understand brain function. This summer, I’ve had the opportunity to intern in the Tian Lab, where I’ve been working on optimizing genetically encoded neurotransmitter sensors. Through this experience, I’ve developed skills in molecular cloning, cell culture, and confocal microscopy, and I’ve gained a deeper appreciation for how research can bridge basic science and real-world applications in mental health and neurology. Beyond the lab, I enjoy reading novels, traveling to new places, and playing volleyball.
