Makai is a dual-enrolled FAU High School student at the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College at Florida Atlantic University. He primarily works on data science and machine learning applications for neuroscience, using GLMs, CNNs, and various other methods. He works with Dr. Wright to quantify and analyze relationships between serotonin activity and physical behavior, but is also working on other projects as well.
